- Title:
- Football - Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator
Bio
Since joining Indian Hill in 2022, Cody Reardon has helped build one of Southwest Ohio's premier football programs by developing student-athletes who excel not only on Friday nights, but in the classroom and throughout their lives. An accomplished educator, leader, and coach, Reardon brings a passion for teaching, competition, and servant leadership to everything he does.
Developing Leaders Through Football
Coach Reardon believes that football is one of the greatest classrooms a young person can experience. Every practice, meeting, and game presents opportunities to teach life lessons that extend far beyond the field.
"The greatest part of coaching is the opportunity to shape young student-athletes beyond the classroom. Athletics provide daily opportunities to teach character, leadership, resilience, and accountability while competing alongside teammates who share a common purpose."
Equally passionate about the competitive side of coaching, Reardon enjoys preparing for opponents, learning from fellow coaches, and continually improving his craft.
Coaching Journey
Coach Reardon began his coaching career in 2013 and has served in a variety of successful programs throughout the Cincinnati area before arriving at Indian Hill.
His coaching experience includes:
-
Reading High School
-
Princeton High School
-
La Salle High School
-
Indian Hill High School (2022–Present)
In addition to coaching football, Coach Reardon serves as a teacher and Student Leadership Team Coordinator, reinforcing his belief that education and athletics are inseparable.
Athletic Background
A native of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, Coach Reardon graduated from Holy Cross High School, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.
He continued his football career at Western Illinois University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in 2013 before completing his Master's Degree in 2019.
Program Success
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Reardon has helped programs achieve sustained success, including:
-
Two League Championships
-
Three State Tournament Appearances
-
One Coach of the Year Award
-
First Regional Championship in School History
-
Seven student-athletes who have continued their football careers at the collegiate level
While proud of these accomplishments, Coach Reardon believes the greatest victories are measured by the impact made on the lives of his players.
Coaching Philosophy
For Coach Reardon, education-based athletics means teaching first and coaching second.
"Athletics and education are not competing priorities—they work together. Coaching is teaching in every aspect. The lessons learned on the football field should positively influence how our student-athletes perform in the classroom, at home, and throughout their lives."
His coaching philosophy is built upon three core values:
Honesty – Character begins with truthfulness and integrity.
Loyalty – Great teams are built on trust, commitment, and selflessness.
Hard Work – Success is earned through daily discipline and relentless effort.
Above all else, Coach Reardon wants every athlete to know they mattered.
"I hope every player remembers that I was committed to them regardless of their background or ability. Every athlete deserves to feel valued and know they are—and always will be—a part of the Indian Hill family."
The Indian Hill Football Experience
Coach Reardon believes the Braves football program offers an experience unlike any other.
"Indian Hill Football challenges every athlete both mentally and physically. The work is demanding, but the relationships, accomplishments, and memories created through the process make it one of the most rewarding experiences a student-athlete can have. It's something that simply can't be replicated once you graduate."
Defining Success
Coach Reardon measures success by more than championships.
"If generations of Indian Hill Braves continue to return to our program and parents choose to send their children through the same experience, then we've built something truly meaningful. That legacy is the greatest measure of success."
Why Indian Hill?
What stands out most to Coach Reardon is the mindset of Indian Hill student-athletes.
"Our students understand why we work so hard. They embrace the process, appreciate the value of preparation, and recognize that success is earned through commitment and discipline."
That shared purpose creates a culture where excellence becomes the standard.
Beyond Football
Away from the field, Coach Reardon enjoys running and maintaining an active lifestyle. His competitive spirit and commitment to continuous improvement carry over into every aspect of his life.
