Shorthanded Aquabraves Challenged in Tri-Meet Against Madeira & Mason

The Aquabraves Women's and Men's teams were challenged against a nearly full-strength Madeira team and Division 1 powerhouse Mason. The Aquabraves were shorthanded due to many of the team's club swimmers did not participate in this meet, injuries and illness. This meet allowed some of the non-club swimmers to perform in key relay and individual events, as well as showing the strength and depth of the Aquabraves.

Lady Braves recap:
The Lady Aquabraves won all 2 relay events and 4 out of the 9 individual events at this tri-meet! This meet allowed the team to compete against a significant CHL competitor and gauge how performances must be improved in order to take down Madeira in the future. The Lady Aquabraves full squad will compete again with Madeira once again next weekend. Congratulations to all Lady Aquabraves!

Men's Braves recap:
The Men's Aquabraves was significantly hampered by absence and injury. As previously stated, most club swimmers did not compete in this meet against a large and talented Mason squad and a solid Madeira squad. The men will compete against Madeira once again this weekend at the Candy Cane Invitational with the return of the team's club swimmers. The men won out of the 9 individual events, a nice start to the season! Congratulations to all Aquabraves!

In summary, the IHHS Swim & Dive Team had its first setback of the 2021-22 season. The Lady Aquabraves showed their strength against tough competition, and the men will need to spend this week getting healthy. It will be exciting to watch this team compete against CHL foe once again at their next meet will be against on December 18^th! See you then Aquabraves!
